I just want to take a moment to challenge that statement. Sometimes stating the obvious is exactly what we need to do in order to remember the basics. It would, however, be wise of me to say that I am not talking about your income right now. I am talking about the way that vendor funding can work and will work for you, the IT reseller, if you apply the basics correctly.

You made a great sale due to your marketing tactics—fantastic! Instead of resting on your laurels, call out, “Next!” You can use your current vendor funding to market your company properly so that you can sell more and earn more—this will lead to even bigger things.

Vendors are more eager to work with a reseller who not only wants to work hard at selling their products, but also knows how to handle marketing opportunities in such a way that sales are boosted exponentially with each and every endeavour. And as it should be, your hard work will be rewarded. Your vendor funded marketing depends on how much you sell. In this way, you can create a snowball and keep growing your company’s earnings through marketing paid for by your vendors.
